র্যাব-১১, সিপিসি-২ এর অভিযানে ৩৬ কেজি গাঁজা’সহ ০২ জন মাদক ব্যবসায়ী গ্রেফতার।
১। র্যাব প্রতিষ্ঠা লগ্ন থেকে সমাজের বিভিন্ন অপরাধের উৎস উদঘাটন, অপরাধীদের গ্রেফতার, আইন- শৃঙ্খলার সামগ্রিক উন্নয়নে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। বিভিন্ন অপরাধীদের গ্রেফতার করে আইনের আওতায় আনার জন্য র্যাব ফোর্সেস নিয়মিত ভাবে অভিযান পরিচালনা করে থাকে। জঙ্গি, অস্ত্রধারী সন্ত্রাসী, ডাকাত, মাদক ব্যবসায়ী সহ বিভিন্ন অপরাধীকে গ্রেফতারের লক্ষ্যে র্যাব-১১, সিপিসি-২ নিয়মিত অভিযান পরিচালনা করে আসছে।
২। অদ্য ২৮ নভেম্বর ২০২৪ ইং তারিখ রাতে র্যাব-১১, সিপিসি-২ এর একটি বিশেষ আভিযানিক দল গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে কুমিল্লা জেলার কোতয়ালী মডেল থানাধীন আমতলী এলাকায় মাদক বিরোধী অভিযান পরিচালনা করে। উক্ত অভিযানে আসামী ১। মোঃ ওয়াসিম (৩০) এবং ২। মোঃ সবুজ (৩৮) নামক ০২ জন মাদক ব্যবসায়ীকে গ্রেফতার করতে সক্ষম হয়। এ সময় আসামীদ্বয়ের হেফাজত হতে ৩৬ কেজি গাঁজা ও মাদক পরিবহণ কাজে ব্যবহৃত একটি ট্রাক উদ্ধার করা হয়।
৩। প্রাথমিক অনুসন্ধানে জানা যায়, গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামী ১। মোঃ ওয়াসিম (৩০) বি.বাড়িয়া জেলার আশুগঞ্জ থানার লালপুর গ্রামের মোঃ বিল্লাল হোসেন এর ছেলে এবং ২। মোঃ সবুজ (৩৮) নওগাঁ জেলার সদর থানার দশপাইকা গ্রামের মোঃ আশরাফুল ইসলাম এর ছেলে। গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামীদ্বয়কে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে আরো জানায় যে, তারা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে জব্দকৃত ট্রাক ব্যবহার করে কুমিল্লার সীমান্তবর্তী এলাকা হতে মাদকদ্রব্য গাঁজা সংগ্রহ করে কুমিল্লাসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে মাদক ব্যবসায়ী ও মাদক সেবীদের নিকট পাইকারি ও খুচরা মূল্যে বিক্রয় করে আসছে। র্যাব-১১ এর মাদক বিরোধী ধারাবাহিক অভিযানের অংশ হিসেবে উক্ত অভিযান পরিচালনা করা হয়। মাদকের মতো সামাজিক ব্যাধির বিরুদ্ধে র্যাব-১১ এর অভিযান অব্যাহত থাকবে। গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামীদ্বয়ের বিরুদ্ধে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ প্রক্রিয়াধীন।
