বেনাপোল আন্তর্জাতিক চেকপোস্ট ইমিগ্রেশন দিয়ে ভারতে যাওয়ার পথে ছাত্রলীগ নেত্রী সুস্মিতা পান্ডে ও তার ভাই সত্যজিত পান্ডে নামে দুই জনকে আটক করেছে ইমিগ্রেশন পুলিশ,বিজিবি ও গোয়েন্দা।
ইমিগ্রেশন পুলিশের পরিদর্শক ইব্রাহিম আহম্মেদ জানান, সোমবার ১৩ জানুয়ারি দুপুরে বেনাপোল সীমান্ত দিয়ে ভারতে প্রবেশকালে ঢাকা ইডেন কলেজের সাবেক সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক সুস্মিতা পান্ডে ও সত্যজিত পান্ডে নামে ২ জনকে আটক করে ইমিগ্রেশন পুলিশ। তারা মাগুরা সদরের স্বপন পান্ডের ছেলে ও মেয়ে । তারা দুই জনই ঢাকা নিউমার্কেট থানার নাশকতা মামলার আসামী তাদের মামলা নম্বর ১৭।
আটককৃতদেকে বেনাপোল পোর্ট থানায় সোপর্দ করা হয়েছে পরবর্তীতে তাদেরকে ঢাকা নিউমার্কেট থানায় হস্তান্তর করবে।
