ভারতে যাওয়ার সময় কলারোয়া পৌরসভার কাউন্সিলর এবং ওয়ার্ড আওয়ামীলীগের সভাপতি বেনাপোলে আটক

বেনাপোল আন্তর্জাতিক চেকপোস্ট দিয়ে ভারতে যাওয়ার সময় সাতক্ষীরা জেলার কলারোয়া পৌরসভার ৬নং ওয়ার্ডের কাউন্সিলর ও ওয়ার্ড আওয়ামীলীগের সভাপতি মোঃ আলফাজ উদ্দিন (৫৭) কে আটক করেছে ইমিগ্রেশন পুলিশ ও বর্ডার গার্ড বাংলাদেশ (বিজিবি) সদস্যরা।

রবিবার (১০ নভেম্বর) সন্ধ্যায় বেনাপোল ইমিগ্রেশন ভবন থেকে তাকে আটক করা হয়। আটক আলফাজ উদ্দিন কলারোয়া পৌরসভার ৬ নং ওয়ার্ডের চুড়ামনকাঠি এলাকার গোপিনাথপুর গ্রামের এবাদত হোসেনের ছেলে। সে সাতক্ষীরার সদর থানার একটি হত্যা মামলার আসামি। গত ২৫ সেপ্টেম্বর তার বিরুদ্ধে ৩০২/৩৪ ধারায় থানায় মামলা হয়। মামলা নম্বর-৫২।

বেনাপোল ইমিগ্রেশনের ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) ইমতিয়াজ আহসান এবং চেকপোস্ট আইসিপি ক্যাম্পের কামান্ডার নায়েব সুবেদার ফরিদ উদ্দিন জানান, আগে থেকে আমাদের কাছে গোপন খবর ছিল সাতক্ষীরার কলারোয়া থানার হত্যা মামলার এজাহার ভ‚ক্ত আসামি পাসপোর্ট ভিসার মাধ্যমে ভারতে পালিয়ে যাবে। এ ধরনের তথ্যের ভিত্তিতে ইমিগ্রেশন এলাকায় নজরদারি বাড়ানো হয়। ওই আসামি ইমিগ্রেশনে তার পাসপোর্টে এক্সিট সিল মারার জন্য আসলে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদকালে তার গতিবিধি সন্দেহজনক মনে হয়। পরে তার নিজ এলাকায় খোঁজ-খবর নিয়ে জানা যায়, সে সাতক্ষীরা সদর থানার একটি হত্যা মামলার এজাহারভ‚ক্ত আসামি। তখন তাকে আটক করা হয় এবং সমস্ত কার্যক্রম শেষে বেনাপোল পোর্ট থানায় সোপর্দ করা হয়। কলারোয়ার সদর থানায় তার আটকের বিষয়টি জানানো হয়েছে। সেখান থেকে পুলিশের টিম এলে তাদের কাছে তাকে হস্তান্তর করা হবে।
