নরসিংদীর রায়পুরায় উপজেলা প্রশাসনের আয়োজনে সর্বজনীন পেনশন স্কিম সংক্রান্ত অবহিতকরণ সভা। মঙ্গলবার (০৯ জুলাই)বেলক ১২টায় উপজেলা পরিষদ হলরুমে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মো:ইকবাল হাসান এর সভাপতিত্বে অবহিতকরণ সভায় বক্তব্য রাখেন উপজেলা প্রকৌশলী মো:মাজেদুল ইসলাম,উপজেলা সমাজ-সেবা কর্মকর্তা খলিলুর রহমান।

এসময় অন্যান্যদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন উপজেলা সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) শফিকুল ইসলাম,নির্বাচন কর্মকর্তা মো;আজাহারুল ইসলাম, মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা অফিসার সামলগীর আলম,থানা কর্মকর্তা আব্দুল হালিম সরকার,প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা অফিসার মো:জামাল উদ্দিন, চরমধুয়া ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান আহসান উল্লাহ,রাধানগর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান খোরশেদ আলম তপন,চানপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান আব্দুল মোমেন সরকার প্রমুখ।

অবহিতকরণ সভায় স্লাইড (তথ্য চিত্র)প্রদর্শন করেন উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মো ইকবাল হাসান। এসময় তিনি পেনশনের চাঁদা কিভাবে দিতে হবে, গ্রাহক কিভাবে পেনশনের টাকা পাবেন এসব বিষয় বিস্তারিতভাবে তুলে ধরে বলেন, পেনশন স্কিম চালু বর্তমান সরকারের একটি সর্বোত্তম কর্মকাণ্ড। সর্বজনীন পেনশন স্কিমে মানুষের সুরক্ষার বিষয়টি রয়েছে।

এই পেনশনের ফলে শেষ বয়সে কাউকে বৃদ্ধাশ্রমে যেতে হবে না, এটা তাদের শেষ অবলম্বন। এটা সরকারের একটা যুগান্তকারী পদক্ষেপ।

এ সময় বক্তারা বলেন, সর্বজনীন পেনশন স্কিম বাংলাদেশের সব নাগরিকের টেকসই ভবিষ্যৎ আর্থিক ও সামাজিক নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার দৃঢ় ইচ্ছা ও তার দূরদর্শী নেতৃত্বের বহিঃপ্রকাশ। এ স্কিমের মাধ্যমে নির্ভরশীল মানুষের সংখ্যা কমবে। পেনশনের আওতার লোকজন অন্যের বোঝা হয়ে থাকবেনা। রাষ্ট্র পরিচালিত এ স্কিম সবোচ্চ নিরাপদ উল্লেখ করে তাঁরা সবাইকে সর্বজনীন পেনশন স্কিমের আওতায় যে ৪টি স্কিম রয়েছে তাতে অংশগ্রহণ করার জন্য আহ্বান জানান।
